Frequently asked questions
How do I cancel my Krovu subscription?
Krovu subscriptions are billed by Apple, so cancellation happens in your Apple ID settings rather than in the app: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Krovu, then Cancel Subscription.
Krovu cannot cancel or refund on your behalf, and this website cannot start or stop a subscription. Your training data stays intact and your account reverts to the Free tier at the end of the period you have already paid for.
Is the muscle heatmap really free?
Yes. The muscle heatmap is free forever on Krovu, for every account, with no trial period and no set limit. It is not blurred, locked or sampled on the Free tier.
The heatmap colours 26 segments across a front and a back figure. Every working set credits its primary muscle at full volume and each secondary muscle at half, and the scale is relative to your hardest-trained group over the period you are looking at — so it answers "what am I neglecting?" rather than "how much have I lifted?".
Can I import my history from Hevy or Strong?
Yes. Krovu imports the CSV export from both Hevy and Strong. In the iPhone app, open Settings, choose the import screen, pick your source and upload the .csv file you exported from the other app.
Exercises are matched to the Krovu catalogue automatically, and anything that cannot be read is reported with the line number so you can fix the file rather than guess.
Does Krovu work offline?
Yes. Krovu is offline-first on every platform: the iPhone app, the Apple Watch app and the web app all read and write locally first, and sync when a connection comes back.
You can log a full session in a basement gym with no signal. Writes queue on the device and upload later, and nothing you enter is lost if the network never appears.
Why is my estimated 1RM blank above 12 reps?
Krovu estimates your one-rep max with the Epley formula, weight × (1 + reps ÷ 30), and shows it only for sets of 12 reps or fewer.
Above roughly twelve reps the formula stops predicting anything useful — the error grows faster than the estimate does — so Krovu leaves it blank rather than printing a number it does not believe. A set of 20 still counts towards your volume and your heatmap; it just does not produce a 1RM estimate.
How do streaks and streak freezes work?
A Krovu streak counts consecutive ISO weeks — Monday to Sunday — in which you completed at least one workout. A strength session and a HIIT session both count, and two workouts in one week do not count double.
You get one streak freeze per calendar month, applied automatically. If you miss a week and a freeze is available, the freeze is spent and the streak survives; if it is not, the streak resets.
How does Krovu calculate training volume?
Training volume in Krovu is the sum of weight × reps across your working sets. A set of 100 kg for 5 reps contributes 500 kg.
Warm-up sets are excluded from volume and from personal records, because counting them would inflate both. Drop sets and sets taken to failure are working sets and do count. For the muscle heatmap, a set credits its primary muscle group at full volume and each secondary group at half.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. Krovu does not use your training data, your progress photographs or your form-check video to train models.
Form-check pose estimation, the heatmap, personal-record detection and volume aggregation all run on the device. Where a feature genuinely needs a server — AI plan generation on the Coach tier, macro estimation from a meal photograph — it is labelled at the point of use, it is opt-in, and the media is deleted from the inference provider within 24 hours.
Can I export my training data?
Yes. You can export everything Krovu holds about you as JSON or CSV from Settings in the iPhone app, at any time, without contacting support and without a paid tier.
The same screen deletes your account. Deletion erases your training and account data within 30 days, including from backups.
Which devices does Krovu run on?
Krovu runs on iPhone and Apple Watch, and there is a web app at krovu.app for logging and reviewing your training on a computer.
An Android app is a later phase of the roadmap and does not have a date. iPad, macOS and visionOS are not planned.
